About Salt Edge
Salt Edge is an FCA-registered aggregator that securely provides PocketSmith with account and transaction data for financial institutions based in the UK/EU, with your consent. It's an elegant and transparent solution that adheres to PSD2 ( Payment Services Directive 2) open banking regulations. Salt Edge is a leading global financial provider that adheres to the highest international privacy and security standards.
The great thing about Salt Edge is that they use your bank's own PSD2-compliant API to connect us directly to the bank. Where possible, Salt Edge will use Open Banking to connect to your bank, which doesn't require Salt Edge or us to know your banking credentials. Open Banking is a way for consumers to access their financial services regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) in the UK and its equivalents in the EU.
In some cases where open banking support is unavailable, Salt Edge will require your banking credentials to connect to your bank. In these cases, your banking credentials are submitted directly to Salt Edge and never touch PocketSmith's network.

Troubleshooting Salt Edge bank feeds
On occasion, bank feeds encounter errors that are beyond our control. Errors are not commonplace, but unfortunately, they do happen! 😲
Thankfully, the errors are temporary in many cases and can be resolved on the next sync or resolve within 48 hours.🍻

The Salt Edge Dashboard
When you create your first Salt Edge data connection, you will have your own Salt Edge Dashboard account created. This lets you directly manage your Salt Edge data connections within a separate interface. Your Salt Edge Dashboard will be created using the email address that you use for PocketSmith.
If you weren't able to click the link within the 6 hours, you can get another email with the reset link by going to https://www.saltedge.com/dashboard/password/new and entering the email address you use for PocketSmith.
Salt Edge Dashboard login is only needed for advanced options
You aren't required to use the Salt Edge Dashboard, as most day-to-day actions can be done directly from within PocketSmith. The main activities that require logging into the Salt Edge Dashboard are deleting a connection from Salt Edge Dashboard and authorizing a new account for an existing Salt Edge connection
