Fix a bill showing as overdue, when it was paid early

If you notice that a bill is showing as overdue but you just paid it early, there is a tool to help you easily mark it as paid.

Bills in PocketSmith are expected to be paid on or after the bill date. So if the bill is paid early, it will show as overdue.

How to fix a overdue bill

1. Open the pop-up or the Trends page for the bill category

2. Click FIX OVERDUE BILL

   
   

   

3. Check the transaction shown is the correct one for this bill and click FIX THIS BILL

   
   

   

   
   

4. Check that the changes are correct and click CONFIRM CHANGES

   
   

   

   
   
5. Your bill budget has now been adjusted to match the transaction and will now show as paid

Advanced options for fixing the bill budget

Before confirming changes, you can click ADVANCED OPTIONS for more options on how the bill budget will be adjusted.

No transaction found to fix the bill

By default, the tool will only search for transactions a limited number of days before the bill, depending on the billing period. If the transaction doesn't show, you can extend the search further back.
