PocketSmith API & developer keys

PocketSmith has an API (Application Programming Interface) that can be used to retrieve and update PocketSmith data from external applications.

API developer key

If you are building a tool just for your own PocketSmith account, you will need a developer key, as mentioned in the Tools just for me section of the developer hub.

How to create a developer key

  1. Go to Manage developer keys (👤 Profile menu > Security & integrations > Manage developer keys)
  2. Add a name for your key
  3. Click CREATE KEY
  4. Copy and save the shown key to be used in your tool

📝 Note

You will only be shown the key when it's created, and it will not be available again. If you have not saved a copy of the developer key, you will need to create a new key.

How to revoke a developer key

  1. Go to Manage developer keys (👤 Profile menu > Security & integrations > Manage developer keys)
  2. Find the key you want to revoke
  3. Click Revoke next to the name of the key
  4. The key is now deleted and can no longer be used to access your PocketSmith account
