Akahu: too many devices connected error

When connecting to your bank via Akahu, you might receive an error stating "Too many devices connected". This device limit is mostly caused by old devices which are left connected to your mobile banking apps, despite them no longer being used.
To fix this, you will need to deregister any unused devices before proceeding. This may be done from within your online banking website, or via the mobile app itself, depending upon your bank.
In this guide, we provide bank-specific instructions for deregistering unused devices.

Deregister unused devices from your ANZ goMoney app

You will need to deregister any unused devices from within the ANZ goMoney app. If you no longer have access to the app, you will need to contact your bank directly to remove unused devices.

In the ANZ goMoney app, navigate to the hamburger/three-line menu on the top left, then to Settings > Manage Devices.

Find any device/s you no longer use. Tap the X icon to the right of those devices.

When you have de-registered those unused devices, jump back here to finish adding your bank feed connection: Create a new Akahu bank feed connection

Deregister unused devices from your ASB Mobile app

Your ASB Mobile app will allow you to register a maximum of 5 devices. If you encounter the below error, or similar, you will need to deregister any unused devices before you can proceed.
