Overview
Share your unique Tell-a-Friend link with your friends and family. When they sign-up to PocketSmith with the link you provided, they will get a free 1-month trial of PocketSmith and you'll get 7 days free added to your subscription 🥂
If your friends find PocketSmith helpful and sign up for a paid subscription after their trial, you will receive a 2-month extension to your own PocketSmith subscription for each friend that signs up ✨
How to enable Tell-a-Friend via the web app
We have limited access to Tell-a-Friend to ensure that it is used fairly. You may find that you already have access to Tell-a-Friend. But if not, you can request access.
Already eligible for Tell-a-Friend
If you are already eligible, you will see the Tell-a-Friend icon in the top right, and clicking on this will take you to the Tell-a-Friend settings.
Request access to Tell-a-Friend
If you don't currently have access, you can request access.
Head to your Profile menu > Subscription & upgrade
Select Tell a friend in the side menu, and then click Request access
- Check back later to see if you have been approved.
Sharing your Tell-a-Friend link (web app)
When you want to share your Tell-a-Friend link with someone, you can share your link with them or enter their email address, and we will send them the link.
Copy & paste the Tell-a-Friend link
If you want to send your own message to your friend, copy the link, and paste it into the messenger app of your choosing.
Click on your Tell-a-Friend icon, or, head to your Profile menu > Subscription & upgrade
Select Tell-a-friend in the left side menu. Then click COPY next to the link to save it to your clipboard
- Paste the link into your messenger app of choice and send it to your friend
Email the Tell-a-Friend link
We can also send a Tell-a-Friend email directly to your friend
- Click on your Tell-a-Friend icon, or, head to Profile menu > Subscription & upgrade
Select Tell-a-friend in the left side menu.
- Enter your friend's email and click SEND EMAIL
Your friend then will receive the following email but with your unique Tell-a-Friend link:
How to enable Tell-a-Friend via the mobile app

Already eligible for Tell-a-Friend
If you are already eligible, you will see your shareable Tell-a-Friend link in the widget at the bottom of your mobile dashboard.
Request access to Tell-a-Friend
If you don't currently have access, you can request access by scrolling down to the Tell-a-Friend widget and tapping 'Tap to learn more'. Then, tap the green 'Request Access' button.
Sharing your Tell-a-Friend link (mobile app)
To share your Tell-a-Friend link from the mobile app, scroll down to the Tell-a-Friend widget and tap ' Share Tell-a-Friend link'.
From here, you'll be able to select an app (for example, Messenger, Slack, Whatsapp, etc.) to use for sharing your link with your friends.
Check your Tell-a-Friend invites and rewards
You can see how many people have signed up to PocketSmith with your Tell-a-Friend link, and the subscription extension rewards you have received.
To see this, head to Profile menu > Subscription & upgrade > Tell-a-friend.
At the bottom of the Tell-a-Friend settings, you will see a table showing the following:
- Invite accepted - The date someone has created a PocketSmith account using your Tell-a-Friend link
- Current plan - The current plan this user has
- Your reward - The reward you received for this user
- Rewarded date - The date you received the reward
