Changing the email, display name or timezone for your PocketSmith account


Occasionally, you may wish to change some of the user details associated with your PocketSmith account, such as your email address, display name, or timezone. 

Changing the email address associated with your PocketSmith account

It's easy to change the email address used for your PocketSmith account. The email address associated with your account is used to log into your PocketSmith account. Any emails sent to you from PocketSmith - account updates, new features, password resets - will be sent to this email address.

  1. Head to  User Preferences ( Profile menu > User preferences)



  2. Enter the new email address in the Email address field


  3. Click Save and reload. The email address on your PocketSmith account will now be changed ✅

Changing the display name within your PocketSmith account

Your display name is shown under the Profile Menu at the top. If your current display name is not correct, or you'd like to change this for any reason, this can easily be done!

Note:

Changing your display name will not change your username (used to log into your PocketSmith account).

It is not currently possible to change a username in PocketSmith. This is because the user's login name forms an important part of the login username that is generated for accessing the Bank Feed service. If the PocketSmith username changes, this can disrupt the link between PocketSmith and the Bank Feed service.

How to change the display name

  1. Head to User Preferences ( Profile menu > User preferences)



  2. Enter the name you would like to be displayed in the  Your name field


  3. Click  Save and reload. Your display name within PocketSmith will be changed



Changing the timezone of your PocketSmith account

When your PocketSmith account is created, you have had the option to choose an associated timezone 🕰. If your timezone changes, you can easily adjust the timezone for your PocketSmith account by following these steps:

  1. Head to User Preferences ( Profile menu > User preferences)



  2. Select the correct  Timezone from the dropdown



  3. Click  Save and reload to update your account with the correct timezone
