About Google Login

We offer the option to sign in to PocketSmith using your Google account to make signing into PocketSmith even easier.

Google login not available in iOS mobile app

Due to Apple changing the policy for third-party sign in for the App Store, we have had to remove the Google login from the iOS app. If you only have a Google Login for your PocketSmith account, you will need to first create a password in order to sign into the iOS app.

Using Google sign-in

If you have a Google account you have the option to use this to sign in to your PocketSmith account. Find out how to link your existing PocketSmith account to your Google login, or - if you don't yet have a PocketSmith account - how you can use your Google account to create one!

Note

For this feature to work, the email address associated with your PocketSmith account needs to be the same one used for your Google account. If needed, you can change the email address associated with your PocketSmith account as shown here:  Change the email address on your PocketSmith account

Adding a password to your PocketSmith account

If you created your PocketSmith account using your  Google account, you may also want to add a standard password to your PocketSmith account. This would mean that you can log into PocketSmith with your email address/username and created password, or through the Google sign-in process.

This is also a required step if you'd like to set up  two-factor authentication.

  1. Make sure that you are logged out of PocketSmith
  2. Head to the password reset page, enter your email address and click Email me!
  3. Click the Password Reset link in the email that was sent
  4. Follow the directions on screen to create your new PocketSmith password

Once you have set up your PocketSmith password, you will be able to sign in to PocketSmith by either:

  • Using your email address/PocketSmith username and password
  • Using Google sign-in

FAQs

Can I still sign in with my PocketSmith username/email and password?

Absolutely - you're able to choose either method of logging into PocketSmith. If you created your account via Google Sign in you will need to first add a password to your PocketSmith account. For more information see: Adding a password to your PocketSmith account if created via Google sign in

Can I use my Google login if I used a different email address to sign up to PocketSmith?

If you would like to use a Google login that is different to the email address you signed up to PocketSmith with, you'll first need to change the email address associated with your PocketSmith account to be the same as the one used for your Google account.

For detail on how to change the email address associated with your PocketSmith account see:  Change the email address on your PocketSmith account
